I do not have the SKC’s/PIN for either ECM.ĬJAA ECM has a bunch of codes, most of which I think are from the accident and being started without the emissions etc. I didn’t realize I’d have an immobilized issue with swapping the ECM until I started to research after the “no start” condition. I can cycle the tank fuel pump.Īuxiliary Pump will cycle and run with a jumper wire to the pump, but not with VCDS. I tried the CJAA ECM, but got “Immobilizer Active” message and couldn’t cycle fuel pump 2 in the engine compartment when I tried to prime with VCDS. I swapped the complete CJAA engine w/turbo, engine harness and also w/ DSG transmission.ĬJAA car ran prior to purchase (saw via video) and I started it up prior to pulling motor but the DPF and front end had been pulled by the time I heard it run in person.Īnyone have any experience with this swap? Which ECM did you use?ĭuring my research I read/heard to use the ECM from the CJAA engine. CJAA car had 94k miles and was rear ended. I bought the car and swapped the CBEA engine to a CJAA out of a ‘14 Jetta wagon. The car was running and driving prior to the oil pump failure, but had some body damage to the passenger fender/door etc. I have an 09 TDI Jetta sedan project car.
